About Us

Founder of BagOn, Carol Michels sitting in her sewing corner

Thanks for visiting BagOn. It feels good to share my idea with you and the world. With BagOn, I am adding a bit of fun and practicality to the tote bag and apron. Two Folds, two Snaps, two Buttons and you're ready to use your stuff and protect your clothes.

When CoVid caused my lay-off, I initially made and donated masks and hospital gowns while awaiting the birth of my first grandson.  I spent a lot of time with thoughts about how most habits and norms had to now be re-evaluated. People were carrying hand sanitizer and washing everything. Gone were group tables with community crayon boxes in the classroom. The supply of shareables needed to be handed out and kept separate.

We needed ways to stay separate while together.

I started to see that I could help meet that need with my skill set. I started dreaming and drawing. I began cutting and sewing. Elements were added and subtracted. Teachable moments of fun were put in the mix. Cost was considered, thrown to the wind and then considered again

My first Grandson was born two months into the CoVid shutdown. Nothing happened like we planned when the pregnancy was announced. So much will be different in his future, (now his brother’s, too!). I started to picture my own future differently.

The first BagOn was introduced in 2021.

Now in 2022, I’m excited to launch BagOnbyCarol.com. I offer my rainbow solids and fun patterns to choose from. Visit often to see new design elements and pattern offerings.

Thank you to my family and friends. Your support has been perfect. My heart is full.
